LHR intends laying hate speech complaint

Lawyers for Human Rights intends laying a hate speech complaint against President Jacob Zuma's son, Edward and Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini. The complaint, to be lodged with the Human Rights Commission, refers to their comments about foreigners  in the country. The King reportedly said that all foreigners should go back home, while Edward Zuma made remarks that are seen as echoing inaccurate and damaging assumptions about foreigners. This comes amind the current wave of xenophobic attacks in the country. The LHR's Patricia Erasmus says both should publicly retract their statements.....

IN: What they have...   OUT: ...Down the line.    DUR: 27"

(what they have done is chosen to make damaging statements which have flared violence and furthered intolerance of foreign ppl in sa, its very unfortunate that these statements have been made and its not somethig that should be left without redress so to that end lhr is preparing an official complaints to the SA Human Rights Comission and in addition to this we will not rule out the possibility of approaching the equality court should that be an appropriate step further on down the line)
